Director of An Giang DOST Tang Phu An said: "In implementing Decision No. 567/QD-UBND of the PPC on the promulgation of Program on supporting the application and transfer of S&T progress in the period of 2016-2020, 34 projects at provincial level have been carried out with the total budget of 83.62 billion dong, the support from provincial budget was 18.08 billion dong (21.6%). The projects brought outstanding results such as: Project on producing Lingzhi mushroom in high-tech application (Chairman by Mr. Nguyen Hung Sinh, Hung Sinh business household, Thoai Son district), bringing high economic efficiency to growers; The project on establishing a raw material area for feeding eels towards VietGAP standards in no-mud condition (implemented by Ms Ngo Thi Hanh, Aquaculture Breeding Center of An Giang province). Eels are raised in bamboo frameworks, sandbags,... in no muddy land, very convenient for farmers to care and follow eel weight gain. The project on improving and replicating the model of raising whole male Macrobrachium rosenbergii (shrimps with green pincers) under VietGAP standards (implemented by Mr. Tran Phung Hoang Tuan, An Giang Aquaculture Breeding Center). The shrimps developed stably, with an average weight of 60-70 heads / kg after 5 months. The project on trial production of the sesame cutters (implemented by Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, An Giang Mechanical Joint Stock Company), two sesame cutters were produced (it can change to cut other crops such as rice, corn, elephant grass,...). The project on technical training and establishment of the model for production of fruit tree seedlings in An Giang along the GAP direction (implemented by Mr. Huynh Hiep Thanh, Agricultural Extension Center)”.

 

 

Implementing the Decision No.794/QD-UBND of the PPC on raising the productivity of products and goods in small and medium enterprises in the period of 2016-2020, the DOST coordinated with the Training Center under the General Department of Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control to organize two training courses on general and effective awareness in the application of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 22000, GACP, VietGAP) and tools to improve productivity and quality (Kaizen - 5S, KPIs, TPM, Lean 6Sigma) for 75 trainees of enterprises, manufacturing facilities;  Mobilized 5 units to participate in the development of a quality management system model and tools for productivity and quality improvement. Accordingly, it carried out the consultation and award of ISO 22000: 2005 certificates to NewCafe One Member Ltd. Co.; completed the establishment of the ISO 9001: 2015 document set and training, guiding internal evaluation for Long Xuyen Mechanical Ltd., Co.; Carried out, applied and maintained 5S at the Center for Application of S&T Advances. In addition, it implemented Decision No.1607/QD-UBND of the PPC on building the An Giang certification mark for agricultural products in the period of 2016-2020, vision to 2030: reviewed the criteria of each agricultural product from plantation, production and processing,... according to the promulgated standards in order to supplement the contents required by the National Office of Intellectual Property to establish the industrial property rights for An Giang certification marks.

 

Mr. An added: "Implementing the program on supporting the intellectual property development, the Department has supported costs for the protection registration of 3 individual brands; maintained the stable operation for website www.atte.vn, supplemented products on the database of buying and selling products to develop S&T market; organized 6 seminars to introduce technology equipment, conferences on market development and S&T enterprises, on agricultural models and products in high-tech application; Implemented the program on improving the PCI; organized 04 events on supply and demand connection about power economization; Simultaneously, invested in the investment projects for development of S&T potentials, contributing to meeting the socio-economic development needs of An Giang province.
