The visiting delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade was chaired by Director of Asia Commercial and Architecture Co., Ltd, Mr. Ha Ngoc Thong and two technicians in charge of electricity and water system of the factory.

Asia Architecture and Trading Company Limited is one of the leading companies in applying cleaner production. Tan Long Paper Factory is equipped with a closed carton production line and Flexo four-color printer system worth tens of billions of VND.

As for Tan Long paper factory, there is not much potential for implementing cleaner production solutions. In general terms, cleaner production is a continuous improvement of the production of products and services to reduce the use of natural resources, to prevent and minimize risks to people and the environment, all these points are well done by the company.

The company has applied cleaner production solutions such as:

- Housekeeping: Installation of flow meters for production lines. Conducting statistical data on consumption flow to find out the causes of high consumption of electricity and steam, so that carton companies can overcome problems arising, help save the amount of using energy.

- Power saving and power efficient using solution: Install frequency inverter. Improve the hygiene of the air compressor system, water pipe system and water consumption devices, to timely overcome the problem of leakage to reduce power consumption. Enhance the use of natural light sources. This is a way to increase the brightness and energy savings of daytime lighting. Replacing the fluorescent bulbs into a light source not only makes it lighter but also more economical.

- Solutions for production materials: Avoid the use of toxic materials, have a strong impact on the natural environment. Promote the use of alternative materials, such as instead of using wood resources in the production of carton pulp, companies should make the most of recycled paper material. This is not only a cheap source of raw materials, but also quite rich, easy to find, with a simpler production process, which reduces the cost of production in the enterprise.

In the near future, the company will continue investing in replacement of the boiler, converted from the wood-burning boiler to the fluidized bed boiler using the husk ash.

After the visit, participants learned much about the potential for cleaner production at the enterprise and improve the skills to collect and exchange information with the enterprise in their local area.
