Recognizing the potential of this toolkit, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has stepped up the implementation of guidance and training support 5S application for industrial enterprises across the country.
On April 4 and 5, the Ministry of Industry and Trade assigned the EPRO Consulting Joint Stock Company to organize the 5S training course on "Improving productivity and quality of products and goods of the industry" in Ha Noi to provide information, knowledge and tools on 5S; discuss about 5S implementation steps at the enterprise.
The training course is aimed at trainees of enterprises in key industries according to Decision No. 604 / QD-TTg (textiles, footwear, plastics, chemicals, energy, steel, mechanics, electricity-informatics) and the enterprises in the food processing, mining and mineral processing industries. The two-day training course attracted 30 participants from 11 manufacturing companies in the North.
Opening the training course, Ms. Kieu Nguyen Viet Ha, representative of the Department of Science and Technology - Ministry of Industry and Trade said: "The demand for 5S deployment in enterprises is still very large, therefore, the training course of good practicing 5S is organized to promote the application and practice of 5S deployment in enterprises... ".
In the training course, 7 enterprises have registered to deploy 5S in 2017, including 3 garment enterprises, 2 electronic equipment manufacturers, 01 leather and footwear manufacturing enterprise and 01 manufacturing beer enterprise.
At the training course, participants were equipped with the knowledge to understand properly the benefits of successful 5S application and how to implement it. In addition, the sharing of experiences and answers from the trainers contributed to help students have more ideas to solve their problems, while creating exciting atmosphere for the class.
In addition to the theory, trainees also practice by presenting a 5S deployment plan at the company. With the feedback from the trainers, the trainees were able to improve their plans and be ready for the actual deployment.
Evaluation of training quality, Mr. Le Phong Luu, from Thanh Hoa Beer Joint Stock Company, said: "I am very satisfied with the knowledge delivered by the trainers and gained many valuable lessons learned through the answer and discuss."
Coming from Chau Giang Garment Joint Stock Company, Mr. Bui Nhan Trung, Head of General Department, said: "Through this training, I realized that the 5S tool is simple, but if you know how to maintain good performance, it will bring a lot of benefits to the enterprise. We look forward to the successful implementation of 5S with support from Epro Consulting Company."
The majority of trainees expect the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize more 5S courses to get more knowledgeable staff and apply 5S in the business.
From now to the end of 2018, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will organize two more training courses in the central region, one in Hanoi and two in Ho Chi Minh City.
