The overall objective of the National Green Growth Strategy is to develop green and sustainable economies, to develop green industries that are key to green economy, to move towards a low carbon economy, to increase capacity Greenhouse gas absorption, energy use and resource saving and efficiency, current development but not affect the development of future generations.

For the purpose of greening production, the province will focus on shifting economic structure, taking agriculture as the foundation for industrial and service development; Develop high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture. Transforming the structure of plants and animals in line with land and soil conditions so as to make efficient use of land and water resources, and to improve the resilience to climate change and natural disaster risks. Besides, the province plans to build synchronized infrastructure, gradually to modernize; contributing to improving the environment, improving the quality of people's lives and the quality of the landscape; build eco-friendly lifestyles, improve adaptability to climate change.

Meeting the above mentioned objectives, the group of experts has proposed Hau Giang Green Growth Action Plan according to 5 groups of solutions up to 2020 and vision for 2025 as follows:

1. Group of capacity building and institutional solutions

The contents of legal documents are checked and reviewed to optimize the application of mechanisms and policies to encourage the development of motorized means, save resources and fuel, and increase coordination closely aligned agencies.

2. Group awareness solutions

To promote the role of social-political organizations, mass organizations, mass media agencies and media in advocacy and information on green growth; to intensify the training and fostering of professional knowledge and skills for the contingent of cadres, civil servants and employees; to step up the training of human resources, especially human resources in the service of the implementation of climate change coping strategies and green growth in key economic clusters and branches.

3. Group solutions to reduce the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions

Reduce the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions through activities in agriculture, forestry and fishery production, in industry and energy and in transportation, commerce and services.

4. Group of solutions for greening production

Strengthening research activities, scientific and technological advances in line with the reality of social life; to develop a comprehensive agriculture, organic agriculture, green agriculture along the direction of modern and high technology, using modern technologies in aquaculture, exploitation and processing of aquatic products; to invest in the development of tourist infrastructure, paying particular attention to rivers and river tourist...

5. Group solutions on greening lifestyle and promoting sustainable consumption

Building e-government, building sustainable cities, promoting sustainable consumption.

In addition to the above five solutions, the participants proposed to add the solution group for the implementation of the 5 groups of solutions mentioned above and get the second opinion before the plan is officially approved implementation.
