Opportunity to promote localization of supporting industries

26/09/2017

The exhibitions share the same mission of creating professional business opportunities to perfect the requirements of the production line, by promoting the localization index for the electronics and supporting industries in Vietnam through appropriate technology solutions and partners.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Quoc Khanh emphasized the increase in localization rates in important manufacturing industries such as automobiles, textiles, footwear and electronics, as well as extensive participation in the global supply chain is a top concern of Vietnam.

"This combined event will provide practical opportunities for industry supporters in Vietnam to access, learn new market trends, technology, technology and direct contact with potential partners from Japan and internationally, making a significant contribution to the strong and sustainable development of the Vietnamese supporting industry. " said Deputy Minister.

According to Jun Yanagi, Deputy ambassador, Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, there are about 1,600 Japanese companies operating in Vietnam. Although nearly half of them are from the manufacturing sector, the percentage of domestic products ordered by Japanese companies is low. It means that business transactions between Vietnamese and Japanese businesses are still limited, having a opportunity to grow.

To overcome these problems, Jun Yanagi emphasized the important role of small and medium enterprises. "Small and medium enterprises account for 99.7% % of total businesses, and about 70% of employees, even well-known companies such as Toyota, Honda and Sony, have started operating from a small factory. " He highly values Vietnam's adoption of the encouraging law of small and medium enterprises. At the same time expressed the hope that the Government of Vietnam will spend more resources to promote the development of this business size. Of course, the Japanese government is always a supporter in this regard.

Also at the ceremony, Suttisak Wilanan, Executive Vice President of Reed Tradex, the organizer of the exhibitions, said that Vietnam is considered one of the most potential markets in the manufacturing sector in ASEAN region. With the support of the government, many large electronics corporations around the world have built factories in Vietnam's industrial parks, helping to expand human resources and increase productivity to meet increasing consumer demand.

These three exhibitions will support each other to strengthen supporting industry and electronics industry in Vietnam by displaying large-scale technology and trade events for Japanese businesses and sales businesses during the three days of the exhibition. "We are committed to bringing the technology vendors the solutions they are looking for and the manufacturers so that the parties have a B2B platform to discuss together the possibilities of cooperation and network expansion and moving towards their goals, "said Suttisak Wilanan.
