Vinh Hoan Company: Energy conservation and sustainable development in fish processing

Currently, fish processing plants are under water saving systems and energy. After consultation with experts in cleaner production, the plant has a smaller reassemble the faucet. The plant uses solar water heating support for sanitary equipment until approximately 40°C, the new additional heating. Besides, there was a raising awareness of workers in the use of electricity and water during processing.

Mr. Trung said that the most important is how to change thinking, attention from the leader to direct people to bring production efficiency Castle.

For sustainable development of pangasius and projects under the program SUPA SWITCH-Asia has been implemented in the Mekong Delta provinces since January 4, 2013 and is expected to last 48 months with nearly 1.9 million funding euro, with 80% of the project budget. The four partners jointly implement this project is the Center for cleaner production, WWF Austria, WWF Vietnam,Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

In terms of climate change are having a serious impact on the lives of the people of the Mekong Delta, the fish process supply chain solutions combined with energy conservation and clean production solution are the long-term adaptation, towards the goal of sustainable production in the context of international economic integration deeper.

Vinh Hoan manufacturing was built on a more than 40,000 m2 area at the Highway 30 next to Tien river (one of the two main tributaries of the Mekong Delta), which are due to its favorable geographical location for raw materials and the circulation by land and waterways.
