"Vietnam Energy Efficiency for Industrial Enterprises" funded by World Bank funding has been MOIT direct and positive implementation of recent years. VEEIE contributing to favorable conditions for Vietnam enterprises have access to finance medium- and long-term use for the purpose of implementation of energy efficiency investment projects. Enterprises involved in the project need to be business VEEIE key energy use, with detailed plans for energy conservation projects and energy audits carried out by the project VEEIE. Based on these criteria, the expert investigation deploy new VEEIE needs actual energy use of each company and offer specific legal borders, capital support and techniques to apply now appropriate solutions, helping businesses achieve the national target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, energy efficiency,...

Along with raising awareness of energy saving and cleaner production for managers, the center has stepped up propaganda widely in local communities by diverse forms that help people access to new technologies, apply knowledge of energy saving and efficiency in the real life. In addition, the center in collaboration with press agencies, television stations broadcasted the news, reports, and documentaries about energy conservation and cleaner production.  Annually coordinate with relevant units organized “Launching ceremony on energy saving and efficiency in Haiphong city”.

In the framework of the seminar, the experts of the World Bank introduced the project VEEIE and financial mechanisms and procedures for lending to businesses. The project is implemented with two components: investment loans energy efficiency projects and technical assistance, capacity building for businesses involved in the project and related units.

In addition, the enterprise participants had the opportunity to discuss procedural issues loans, investment of the project for improvement items, new replacement equipment or production lines enterprise service of energy-saving goals, increase productivity and product quality.

The project contributes VEEIE motivate many manufacturing enterprises wishing to invest in improvements and improve energy efficiency through the practical support technical as well as financial incentives. Through seminars on project VEEIE, the industrial production enterprises have been known and have access to the resources of the project and learn to use energy economically and efficiently. The project is well underway will set the stage for the new developments in production and business, help businesses reduce production costs, improve production efficiency and competitiveness in the market.

Implementing assigned tasks and enhancing energy audit activities, the center has conducted energy audit for 35 enterprises in Hai Phong city and northern coastal provinces, 15 government offices and 10 commercial buildings. The total energy savings is more than 50,282,019 kWh / year that saved 64,138,422,824 VND / year and reduced 42036.28 tons / year CO2 emissions.
