Engineer Le Minh Thuoc, Binh Son Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited said that energy saving is one of the most important criteria in manufacturing and trading activities of the company.
Mr. Phan Van Tung, Deputy general director of Dai Hung Steel Structure Joint Stock Company which is operating in Dung Quat Economic zone, revealed that to produce steel at the current output capacity, the company had to pay additional costs every month. Electricity saving contributes to cost saving, so the company has planned to reduce energy consumption through technological innovation. Mr. Tung said that the company had been focusing on all relevant solutions to cut down costs as much as possible, including electricity costs. "We have applied several technologies such as continuous rolling or endless rolling technology to reduce some energy-intensive phases".
Mr. Le Tan Ky, Director of Truong Thinh Production - Trade - Import - Export Company Limited which is operating in Mo Duc Industrial cluster, said that the company is currently searching for appropriate solutions to minimize electricity costs. The optimal solution proposed by this company is to strongly promote energy saving, especially electricity saving.
Not only business owners but also workers are now paying attention to electricity saving policies. Besides taking advantage of natural light, businesses in garment and textile industries also promote activities which propagandize about electricity saving to each worker. Whereby, every worker always raises awareness about saving practices, including electricity saving.
Ms. Chau Thi Loan, worker at Quang Ngai Vinatex Factory, said that more than 700 workers working in this facility are all aware of electricity saving, and they contribute to it by many practical deeds. "To save electricity, all light fittings have to be turned off when the factory is out of working hours”.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh, Deputy director of Quang Ngai Power Company revealed that in 2015, Quang Ngai province saved nearly 18 million kWh of electricity. In addition to investing in technology improvement and utilizing natural light, the company also raises awareness about energy saving for officials and employees. "Some large businesses hire consultants to carry out energy audits for each production line and machinery so as to figure out the suitable investment solutions and improve energy saving technologies”, Mr. Thanh added.
The sensible, economical and efficient use of energy increasingly plays an important role in businesses. The initial results in the implementation of energy saving of Quang Ngai businesses have contributed to the conservation of national resources and environmental protection. It is also the urgent task to do now as well as in the long term in our country.
