VN, Japan cooperate in science, technology

The meeting focused on hi-tech agriculture, environmentally-friendly technology, climate change adaption and the proper use of water resources.

Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Quoc Khanh highly valued the joint research projects between the two countries, especially within the framework of the “Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development” (SATREPS) and the East Asian Science and Innovation Area Joint Research Program (e-ASIA JRP).

The cooperative Agreement on Science and Technology was signed in 2006.
