Vietnam: The DEA Supports Ground-breaking Training Sessions on Energy Efficiency in Vietnam

The Danish assistive resources includes counselling in relation to demonstration projects, preparation of training materials and conducting of training sessions for local architects and engineers from the building sector, who must understand and comply with the new standards. The training has been planned and executed by team of Danish, Vietnamese and French consultants with a Danish manager. The consultants were selected according to an international call out for tenders, with the DEA in charge of the professional energy aspects regarding the tender documents and the evaluation of candidates.

Thus, an energy efficiency expert from the DEA’s Centre for Buildings recently attended an initial 3-day training sessions, ‘Training of Trainers’, for architects and engineers from Vietnam’s leading institutions in the building sector. Sessions were held in Hanoi and in Vietnam’s business epicentre, Ho Chi Minh City. The 45 participants, who had been selected by the MoC, participated with great activity and the feedback was exceptionally positive. As an end to the training sessions Mr. Thinh from MoC and Mr. Jesper Ditlefsen from the DEA handed out diplomas to participants.
