Lai Chau province to focus on the development of sustainable industry and handicraft
In order to exploit the inherent advantages of Lai Chau province, the province issued regulations on supporting technology application and transfer, industrial extension programs in the province for enterprises to develop technical demonstrations, application of modern devices and equipment into production. Lai Chau province focuses on building synchronously master plans in the industrial sector, completing infrastructure systems to serve industries and handicrafts, attracting investment in the industrial manufacturing sector.
In recent years, the province has launched the production line of foam insulating sheet in operation to meet the needs of the city and districts in the province.
Pham Van Nam, representative of the Thuy Nam Industry and Trade Industrial Co., Ltd said that from funding of nearly 400 million VND of National Industry Promotion budgets, the company has invested nearly 14 billion VND to build the factory producing anti-heat foam sheet with sound insulation and heat insulation.
Products are manufactured on modern and advanced production line with a design capacity of 80,000m2/year, ensuring technical standards for heat-resistant, sound insulation, heat insulation. In addition, the product has many advantages such as good fire prevention, easy construction and installation for all roof shapes; waterproofing, etc. The products quickly found a foothold in the market and contribute to create jobs for many workers in the province with a stable income.
To promote the development of industry and handicrafts, Lai Chau province is also interested in the planning and development of industrial zones and clusters. To date, the province has planned two industrial parks and 4 industrial clusters, of which the detailed planning of 1 industrial zone, 3 industrial complexes with a total area of 375ha.
After 8 years of implementation of the Resolution, in 2015, the industrial production value of the reached 727.3 billion VND, the average growth rate reached 25.8% during 2008-2015. Infrastructure systems serving industry and handicraft was being completed, such as: electrical system, roads, communications, water supply systems, etc. are conditions for developing public industrial institutions in rural areas.
Attracting investment and development of industrial production has increased in the number and quality of projects. By the end of 2015, the province has more than 90 projects with a total registered capital of 82,000 billion VND investing in industrial production, etc. Thereby, promote industries-handicrafts of the province to new development step with many forms of production, contributing to change the face of the motherland, improving people's livelihood.
However, to develop industries - handicrafts towards sustainability, the province should also create favorable conditions to attract resources, diverse investment sources and economic factors, focusing on the application of scientific and technology advances into production. Prioritize the development of advantageous industries associated with the material areas as the mining industry of building materials, agricultural products processing industry, etc.
