Long An supports small and medium-sized enterprises

As a small business, Sen Vang Commercial and Service Company Limited started to go into production in 2008 with products including fertilizer, plant protection products. Recently, the company has received a funding of 60 million VND from Department of Standards and Quality Measurement under the project "Improving the productivity and quality of products, goods and innovating technology for SMEs in Long An province in the period of 2013-2015 period, with orientation towards 2020" managed by the Department of Science and technology management of Long An.

From the supported fun and own capital, the company has invested plenty of new devices and equipment such as mixing machine, liquid filling system, etc, whereby products sold on the market of the company increased nearly 60% compared to the early days of establishment.

Long Son Joint Stock Company located in Tan An town is one of the businesses received financial support from the Industrial Promotion funds to invest new devices and equipment for exported- cashew processing. From 200 million VND of the financial support package from national industrial promotion funding, the company has bought a number of devices and equipment such as thermal oil boiler, oil frying oven to improve productivity, product quality and save oil, help to efficiently use the fuel, ensure environmental requirements, reducing maintenance costs and ensure operational safety.

It can be seen, the funds from the Department of Science and Technology, industry promotion fund not a lot, but has encouraged enterprises to invest new devices and equipment, improving productivity and product quality.

Dang Van Lop - The Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said that in the scheme on
restructuring the industry and trade of Long An province for the period of 2013-2020, with a vision towards 2030, the Industry and Trade sector aims to promote the main industry the province toward sustainable development.

Currently, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade are continuing to develop a common legal framework for enterprise development; help SMEs overcome difficulties in manufacturing; supporting enterprises to access to financing sources; implementing and supporting programs on production space for businesses to invest in industrial clusters; innovation of technology and  equipment in manufacturing; trade promotion, investment promotion.
