Binh Duong province focus on cleaner production and energy efficiency

By implementation of all solutions, the application of cleaner production in the industrial enterprise in the province start having positive changes. Most enterprises recognized the benefits of adopting cleaner production in manufacturing process. Contributing to energy savings and reduction of environment pollution. To date, approximately 96% of industrial zones have been being operating and development of centralized wastewater treatment system; 25% of industrial productions implemented the steps of cleaner production and saved about 5 – 15% of energy consumption.

Supporting to the enterprise in quick evaluation cleaner production has brought benefits for the companies. Typically, at many brick and tile production companies in the province which using coal furnace generated CO2. After researching and with the supporting of Industrial Promotion Centre by consulting suitable cleaner production solutions, many companies have replaced the coal furnace by husk combustion brick kilns that is friendly to environment and taking advantage of using byproduct of rice.

Keep implementation of cleaner production and energy efficiency from now to 2020 for the companies in the province, the province sets target that by 2020, 50% of industrial enterprises apply cleaner production and energy efficiency with 8-13% energy consumption, raw materials, fuel save per unit of product.

To archive this target, Binh Duong industrial production has coordinated to other relating units actively propagated by various ways: coordinating with other agencies mass media in the province that carry out the report on cleaner production, leaflets, posters, legal documents, cleaner production measures, raising awareness, knowledge, management skills, and technical skill, cleaner production solutions for industrial associations, small and middle enterprises, then apply to their own company.

Besides, to train professional knowledge and practical skills for all management, consulting skills, the Centre for industrial promotion organizes training courses for operating staff; support for conducting survey, consulting, developing quick report on cleaner production for companies in the province; consult cleaner production solution suitable to size of the company with optimized cost.
