Energy saving

The company has implemented the measures of energy saving and cleaner production and achieve many benefits. The company has carried out energy audits and proposed solutions to save energy, such as: installation of inverters for large-capacity fan, application of system power-saving lighting, electricity exchange to each production area; operate kilns with stable operation in accordance with the norms of electricity, coal and oil.

As a company always encourages and promote technical innovations to increase productivity and save energy, in recent years, Hoang Thach Cement Company has had solutions on improvements of devices and equipment and circulatory reuse such as:

- Recovery of emissions from Hoang Thach 2 production line for coal drying of Hoang Thach 1 production line, saving approximately 250 liters of oil/hour (equivalent to 10 billion VND/year);

- Recovery of cooling water, circulating reuse in Hoang Thach 1 production line, saving 1.2 billion VND per year;

In addition, the company also applied the method to control the process to strengthen supervision and operation of equipment as designed, maintain the temperature of the furnace stable at a high level (1.450oC) to almost completely combust all exhaust gases to reduce emissions into the environment. The entire cooling water of the three lines have been processed and re-used, not discharged into the environment.

The training and raising awareness on cleaner production, energy saving and environmental protection for the staff and employees of the company has been focused. The company has sent staff regularly to attend training classes and seminars such as applying the environmental management system ISO 14001; cleaner production; BAT/BEP projects; building cement industry standards; formulate regulations on Vietnam environmental award, etc. to update new knowledge and information.

With a lot of the Company’s efforts in ensuring production efficiency while ensuring environmental responsibility, the company deserves the leading unit of the Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation.
