The plan aims to 2020, 90% of industrial production facilities in areas with potential application of cleaner production is propaganda, popularization and awareness of the benefits of adopting the cleaner production in industry; 50% of industrial production facilities have the potential to carry the application of cleaner production and savings from 8 -13% of energy consumption, material consumption per unit of product; 100% of the staff responsible for cleaner production at all levels and sectors in the province are trained and qualified guides, advice, support application of cleaner production for the manufacturing facility industry.

To accomplish the above targets, the planned 05 measures, which are: to raise awareness and capacity to apply cleaner production in industry; construction and operation of databases and electronic information on cleaner production in industry; technical assistance on the application of cleaner production in the industrial production base; building and maintaining a network of organizations to support cleaner production in industry; develop guidelines and provincial policy on cleaner production.

Striving to advance industrial production in the province reach the common goal of "Strategy for Cleaner Production in Industry 2020". Production activities have focused on efficient use of raw materials and energy inputs; reduce emissions and limit the level of output increased pollution; protect and improve environmental quality, human health and ensure sustainable development.

From the achievements in organization and implementation of energy conservation activities, from 2006 to date, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Dong Thap Center of Industrial Promotion and Development Consultancy has been honored with many of Merits of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Provincial People's Committee. Therefore, almost 100% of the key energy users performed the energy audit as prescribed; a number of units among them took initiative in their second round of energy audit. Besides, the other units which were not subjected to mandatory energy audits also performed energy audit at their own discretion (supported with 50% of cost) to seek opportunities in energy efficiency and production cost reduction. In review of proposed solutions, many companies have applied the measures at their own discretion to save 30-40% of energy consumption, thus reducing the environmental pollution.
