Responding cleaner production strategies in the industry proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Company has established an environmental monitoring program with the goal of continuously collecting information on environmental quality changes for the plant. This helps companies detect adverse impact on the environment during construction and operation of the plant and promptly take measures to prevent and reduce pollution most effectively.

In the preparatory phase and construction of a factory, the company has conducted air quality monitoring around with a frequency 2 times per year at various locations in the area of construction and factory nearby.

Quality of wastewater and surface water monitoring frequency is 4 times per year in irrigation canals and 200 meters from the factory at the output of the system handling waste water. Besides, the company also established specialized environmental organizations, regularly check collection system, wastewater treatment, stormwater runoff; timely detection of a problem to fix in order to ensure the effectiveness of the system, does not pollute the environment; construction rules and regulations on hygiene and labor safety.

May Forestry Joint Stock Company has invested more than 18 billion for installation of environmental treatment facilities with machinery, most modern equipment for the factory now. In it, notably the combination of the dust handling system, incinerator emissions, waste water (total investment value amounted to 16 billion), wastewater drainage system and rain water drainage grooves (nearly 1, 4 billion).

In addition, the company invested nearly 400 million to plant trees in campus greening in the model of the production environment of advanced industries in the world. Focus on developing sustainable and environmentally friendly is always a primary goal of the company.

Thanks to the efforts of employees and the management company in the application of advanced technologies in production, along with the enthusiastic support of the departments and the leaders of Nghe An, May Forestry Joint Stock Company gained initial achievements in the management of production activities associated with environmental protection towards sustainable development.

On May 12, 2016, Nghe An May Forestry wood processing plant exported timber shipments first bar. The first export product includes 3 containers, volume 83m3. Shipment is assessed good quality, is the result of the application of advanced technologies in production and efforts of leaders, officials and employees of the Company and the enthusiastic support of the leaders of Nghe An, departments, provincial departments and leadership, local in the area which has a variety materials resource. Currently, along with the stable operation of the production activities of wooden bar lines, Plant is completing testing go into parts of the MDF production line, scheduled to May 6, 2016 will officially go into the production process.
