Dong Nai province stands by enterprises in the process of cleaner production application
"Cleaner production", which was first introduced to our country in 1995, has become more and more popular so far. Bringing many benefits such as production efficiency improvement, environmental pollution reduction, occupational health and safety improvement, ... cleaner production is a solution to the development of enterprises as well as to the sustainable development of the province.
In Dong Nai province, the Cleaner Production Strategy in industry has been implemented since 2010. Specifically, up to now, the Dong Nai provincial Department of Industry and Trade has organized 15 training courses on cleaner production for more than 1,300 enterprises and conducted rapid assessment for 11 other enterprises. Enterprises have been stimulated to invest in new, environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient technologies that are entitled to enjoy partial financial support from the State.
Since 2010, abiding by the direction of the Government, Dong Nai province has actively encouraged enterprises to carry out cleaner production solutions.
Thanks to the cleaner production application, businesses have saved 9 - 32% of its energy consumption which is equivalent to a reduction of 9 - 32% of fuel cost. Enterprises implementing cleaner production techniques have saved more than 2.8 million kWh, 312,000 tons of oil and hundreds of tons of gas per year. Especially, the application of cleaner production processes has cut 2,800 tons of CO2 emissions to the environment.
In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade has helped businesses survey and evaluate production processes to determine losses of raw materials and fuel in production stages. Based on results of such survey, enterprises have taken initiative in developing and carrying out solutions.
In 2018, Dong Nai provincial Department of Industry and Trade continues to assist 5 enterprises in conducting survey and assessing each stage of the production process and making cleaner production implementation plan.
Because of practical economic and environmental benefits of cleaner production, more and more enterprises in Dong Nai province are now interested in applying cleaner production solutions. Nam Long Co., Ltd, which locates in Long An commune, Long Thanh district and specializes in manufacturing rubber gloves is one of them. In 2014, the company decided to invest over VND8.5 billion in the new FO-fired boiler which helps the minimizing the environmental pollution, saving VND200 million per month and increasing annual increase production by 10-12%.
Another enterprise applying effectively cleaner production solutions is An Phu Thinh Joint Stock Company, which locates in Long Thanh District and specializes in manufacturing and exporting labor protection products. Every year, the management board of the company participates in training courses on technology innovation, advanced production management process application and 5S principle application.
In addition to the mentioned-above companies, many other enterprises in the province are also interested in cleaner production and technology innocation to improve productivity and quality products such as Tan Binh 2 Chemical Factory (in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park), Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company, Tung Kuang Industrial Joint Stock Company, Meiwa Vietnam Company Limited, Dong Nai Paint Joint Stock Company, Dong Nai Electric Mechanical Joint Stock Company. Dong Nai Battery Enterprise ... They have got many benefits from participating in the provincial Cleaner Production Strategy.
