Energy efficiency through the use of modern equipment, technology and production process improvement helps enterprises reduce production costs leading to increasing competitiveness in the market and environmental protection. Therefore, Can Tho Power Company has cooperated with other concerned agencies in carrying out many activities supporting local enterprises to approach energy efficiency solutions and models.
Namely, the Can Tho Power Company has helped the Cantho Import - Export Seafood Joint Stock Company (Caseamex) access investment capital and apply solar water heating solution in the production process. According to Mr. Le Minh Ngoc, Chief of Electrical Engineering Department of Caseamex, the use of solar water heater helps the Caseamex save on average 23,000 kWh of electricity (equivalent to VND 35-40 million per month).
According to Mr. Minh, Caseamex has actively applied many energy efficiency solutions such as using LEDs in production lines, warehouses, workshops; using central air conditioning system; regularly checking equipment, machinery, ... to avoid waste of electricity leading to the company's energy management efficiency improvement, increasing production efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reduction.

Meanwhile, Southern Fishery Industries Company Limited has also accessed the investment capital of the Southern Power Corporation thanks to the Can Tho Power Company to install the solar water heating system. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy director of the company said that one-year use of the solar water heating system to clean catfish processing tools helped the company reduce more than VND 18 million per month.
Besides, the company also carries out synchronously energy efficiency solution such as using LEDs for lighting; regularly checking equipment in the production process in order to promptly handle power loss incidents; raising awareness of employees about energy efficiency solutions,...
With a view to promoting energy efficiency in enterprises, the Can Tho Power Company will strengthen the cooperation with the Department of Industry and Trade in implementing activities encouraging enterprises involved in the seafood processing, food processing, service sector ... to carry out energy efficiency solutions. At the same time, it will work with other concerned agencies in implementing programs supporting enterprises to use solar and renewable energy ... contributing to making the business community use energy economically and efficiently.
