On November 21, 2016, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee issued a Decision on the "Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategy for 2016-2020 on Cleaner Production in Industry in Vinh Long Province" with the total the estimated cost is about 6.63 billion VND.

 

According to the plan, by 2020, the application of cleaner production in industry of the province will reach the target of 90% of industrial production establishments with potential for application of clean production to propagandize and recognize the benefits of applying use of Cleaner Production in industry; 80% of Cleaner Production staff at all levels of the province are trained and have the capacity to guide, advise and support the application of cleaner production to industrial production facilities; 50% of industrial production bases apply Cleaner Production; industrial production basis applied 13% of energy consumption, raw materials, fuel and materials per unit of production; to restructure the industry towards greening and encourage the development of energy efficient and resource efficient industries with high added value and research and application of advanced technologies to use more effective than natural resources, reducing the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to effective response to climate change.

 

On 3/4/2017, the People's Committee of Vinh Long Province issued the Plan "Implementing the Cleaner Production Strategy for Industry in Vinh Long Province in 2017" with the aim of propagandizing and improving knowledge, introduction of cleaner production knowledge to production units and related units in the province.

 

On July 28, 1977, the Center for Industry Promotion and Public Development Consultancy held a training course on Cleaner Production in the industry in 2017 for officials of departments of industry and trade, industry promotion and especially for the rolling Ministry, employees in charge of management of industrial production facilities.

 

In the past time, the perception of cleaner production in enterprises in Vinh Long has shown positive changes. However, the number of enterprises who understand the practical benefits of Cleaner Production and apply Cleaner Production in production establishments remains limited. Therefore, according to the "2016-2020 Action Plan for Cleaner Production in Industry in Vinh Long Province" in 2017, the main purpose of the training is to improve capacity Consultant capacity of state management officers on cleaner production. In addition, the training course will help enterprises to be aware of and have access to Cleaner Production solutions such as improving management system, technology, improving natural resource use efficiency. Whether to reduce emissions from the upstream, bring practical benefits to the enterprise in terms of labor productivity, reputation in the market, economy and the environment.
