Training to improve cleaner production consulting skills

Attending the opening of training with Ms. Kieu Nguyen Vietnam Ha, representatives of the Department of Science and Technology, Ms. Tang Thi Hong Loan- directors of EPRO Consulting JSC and Nguyen Thi Communications - lecturer at the University of Natural Resources and Environment City. Ho Chi Minh was a lecturer in training courses and more than 30 students from the Department of Trade, Industry and Promotion Center Industrial Consulting and businesses across the country.

The objective of the training is training for support staff and consultants in cleaner production practices on rapid assessment of CP in industrial manufacturing enterprises. In two days of lectures, lecturers have extensive introduction of cleaner production, the solution of cleaner production, how to collect information at the factory via surveys, interviews; Technical evaluation of water use efficiency and raw materials; evaluate thermal efficiency; evaluate the effectiveness of the use of electricity; reporting a rapid assessment of CP and plan the implementation of the next job after the assessment.

Students are also equipped with knowledge on how to conduct rapid assessment of preparation, assessment and reporting. With preparation, students should be equipped with skills in counseling, skills assessment as observing, collecting and reading data and interviewing skills. Besides, the need to learn the characteristics of production technology of the plant before the assessment as the basic production processes, outputs, inputs, technology conditions, equipment use, fuel consumption materials, ... During need to make their own assessment 4 key questions: factory waste generation has not? Why waste generation? How to reduce waste? How to eliminate waste? These questions must be answered through observation, photography, interviews and reference data of the plant production. In the assessment report, to estimate the efficiency of resource use, energy efficiency through calculations at the most wasteful processes or compare current production with the equivalent practice. The ultimate aim of the rapid assessment of CP is to change thinking, attitudes about effective use of resources and energy in the enterprise.

In the last day of the course, participants are to visit Phuoc Hoa Rubber Factory, Binh Duong province. Here, students are to visit the entire production line in the rubber processing factories of Paris. After the visit, students and teachers have found some problems in waste and production activities of the plant at the same time offering solutions.

After 1st course, participants divided into groups to conduct selection, rapid assessment of cleaner production practices at a plant to reports in the 2nd course.
