The conference brought together representatives of some companies, industrial enterprises, cottage industries in Soc Trang and management staffs in the local industry in the province. The participants were informed about the policies to support implementation of cleaner production in industry; on the situation and apply cleaner production for industrial enterprises.

In order to implement national strategy for cleaner production, the Soc Trang People's Committee has issued an action plan by 2015. The workshop was organized to improve knowledge for production units. Mr. Le Hoang Tri, Deputy Director of Industry Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting Center said: "The seminar aims to introduce to the business and management staffs of trade and industry knowledge of cleaner production in Industry. Thereby we have introduced some energy saving devices for applying in industrial production processes in Soc Trang".

The seminar was brought together local managers to enterprises and providers that their equipments are used in industrial production to implement well the action plan for cleaner production in industry of Soc Trang province.
