Yen Bai provincial enterprises invests in non-baked brick production technology to protect the environment

Recently, unbaked bricks are increasingly dominant in the construction industry. Compared with traditional baked bricks, unbaked ones have many advantages such as better strength, noise insulation, heat insulation, waterproofing ... Besides, not only does the production of non-baked bricks save energy but it also contributes to environmental protection.

Investing in machinery and technology, making use of local available sources of raw materials to produce unbaked bricks are what many enterprises all over the country as well as in Yen Bai province have done over the years. In 2014, Vinh Thanh Co., Ltd (in Yen Binh town, Yen Binh district) invested VND5 billion in building a non-baked brick manufacturing factory whose capacity is 5 million bricks per year.

In the production process, the company always pay attention to , ensuring output, product quality to ensure its products' lightness, strength, water resistance and compliance with technical requirements of construction works. Before, the number of non-baked bricks which were produced by the company was huge but customers did not have belief in the new type of brick. However, the company determined to manufacture this material so it still focused on the product's quality to create its prestige.

Mr. Pham Huu Viet, Director of Vinh Thanh Co., Ltd said: "The capacity of 2 production lines is more than 5 million bricks per year and thanks to the emphasis on product quality, our non-baked bricks are always sold out".

However, according to Mr. Viet, the company's customers are mainly state-funded projects and people getting used to red baked bricks are not familiar with the company's products.

"At present, people are only used to baked bricks therefore, our market is very limited".

Therefore, according to Mr. Viet's point of view, with a view to promoting the use of non-baked bricks in domestic construction works, it is necessary for state management agencies to actively carry out propaganda activities to make people aware of the quality of unbaked bricks.
