In the first nine months of 2018, the Vinh Phuc provincial industrial production index increased by 16% compared to the same period of 2017. There are 25 industrial parks and clusters in the province. Many key industries of the province such as electronic component, motor vehicle, tile,... production has continued to experience a significant growth.
However, the impressive growth rate of the industrial sector has also put pressure on the provincial environment. In addition, Vinh Phuc province organized a workshop to consult experts, representatives of ministries and local people about TAL Group's dyeing project and then did not license this project because its environmental degradation risk.
Up to now, 6 industrial zones in the province have installed automatic wastewater monitoring system; two industrial clusters have invested in centralized wastewater treatment systems. The majority of enterprises have complied with the approved environmental impact assessment reports, actively checked the wastewater quality before discharging it into the environment, made roads clean and planted trees in the industrial parks.
