Vinh Phuc province: 30% of enterprises apply cleaner production

Cleaner production to reduce cost and environmental pollution  
According to statistics, by the end of September 2018, Vinh Phuc province has more than 9,700 enterprises register their business and about 30% of enterprises and industrial manufacturing establishments have been carrying out cleaner production practices leading to an energy consumption reduction of 10-15% and less investment in raw materials per unit of product. 
Not only does cleaner production help minimize production costs but it also results in reduction of environmental pollution and improvement of product competitiveness in the market. Being aware of cleaner production's benefits, many enterprises in Vinh Phuc province have invested in technology innovation and pursued cleaner production in order to improve production efficiency and reduce environmental pollution.

Prime Vinh Phuc JSC is a pioneer in cleaner production application. In order to minimize environmental pollution and ensure production and business efficiency, the company always actively improves its production line and equipment and produces best quality products. Especially, it has invested in the most advanced digital printing technology in the ceramic industry to replace the previous flat screen printing technology.
In addition, the company has set up the Scientific Council for Technological Innovations to stimulate research conduction and technical improvement of employees and to reward  those have made technical innovations leading to increasing productivity and product quality or have successfully researched and brought about new products.
Besides, the company always pays attention to environmental protection to ensure the workers' health as well as the environment surrounding its production area by investing in many equipment including an air cooling system in the production line whose total cost is over VND750 million and vacuum cleaners to recover the amount of dust released in the environment.

Namely, in response to the movement "Promoting technical innovations" of the company, Mr. Ta Ngoc Bac, Head of Department of Environmental Safety and System Management has proposed to the board of directors to install an additional dust filter system using water which is capable of minimizing small dust to be released into the environment to ensure a clean working environment, reduce the cost of cleaning staff and meet waste gas release standards.  
Continue to promote cleaner production application 
With a view to promote the cleaner production application, in the coming time, Vinh Phuc Provincial Department of Industry and Trade will continue to carry out propaganda activities in varied forms such as associating training course with field visits to successful cleaner production application models in and outside the province.
At the same time, it will develop policies supporting enterprises to apply cleaner production as according to the provincial target, by 2020, 100% of industrial manufacturing facilities will apply clean technology and low carbon equipment and meet environmental standards when treating waste; 80% of urban areas and 100% of industrial parks and clusters will have concentrated wastewater treatment systems and 100% of solid waste released from industrial and service sector will be collected.
