Thanh Hoa province improves the capacity of applying cleaner production in industry
During 2 days, from October 10 to October 11, 2018, Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Industry and Trade held a conference on Improvement of the capacity of applying cleaner production in industry attracting the participation of representatives of departments and agencies, officials of districts and towns and representatives of more than 100 industrial enterprises in Thanh Hoa province.
At the conference, participants were disseminated information on cleaner production in the industry such as the Strategy of Cleaner Production in industry until 2020, enterprises' pressure on cleaner production, introduction of cleaner production and assessment of cleaner production, regulations on environmental protection and difficulties in their implementation, cleaner production policies, the ISO 14000 environmental management system ISO 14000, cleaner production and Industrial Revolution 4.0,...
The conference on Improvement of the capacity of applying cleaner production in industry in Thanh Hoa province
According to the plan on implementation of the Strategy of Cleaner Production in industry, Thanh Hoa province has set its goal that by 2020 90% of industrial manufacturing establishments will be aware of benefits of applying cleaner production in industry; 50% of industrial manufacturing facilities will implement cleaner production; industrial manufacturing establishments carrying out cleaner production solutions will reduce from 8% to 13% of consumption of energy, raw materials and fuel per unit of product, reduce emissions and limit the level of pollution, protect and improve the environment quality, human health and ensure sustainable development; 90% of medium and large enterprises will have employees take responsible for cleaner production; 100% of officials in charge of cleaner production at all levels will be trained on cleaner production application in the industry.
Through the conference, participants are aware of basic and in-depth knowledge on cleaner production as well as the importance of cleaner production to each business in particular and the industrial sector in general. The implementation of the cleaner production strategy will help businesses efficiently use natural resources, reduce emissions, limit negative impacts of production on the environment and improve the working conditions of workers effectively.
