Tay Ninh province: Billions VND to enterprises implementing CP

Implement tasks specified in the the Cleaner Production Strategy in industry until 2020, Tay Ninh provincial Department of Industry and Trade has carried out many activities since 2009 such as propagandizing and disseminating cleaner production knowledge to industrial production enterprises through workshops, training courses, officials in charge of the industrial promotion and mass media.

The Department of Industry and Trade has also cooperated with experts in carrying out rapid assessments and energy audits for factories and at the same time provided financial support to integrate some relevant contents on cleaner production with industrial promotion projects such as development of technical demonstration models, provision of financial support to technology transfer; application of advanced equipment and technologies to industrial production; development of pilot cleaner production demonstration models.

The Tay Ninh provincial Department of Industry and Trade said that it would continue to give financial support to the conduction of rapid assessments on cleaner production for 4 enterprises in 2019 and 2020.

In addition, the Department will also assist 30-50 businesses in developing technical demonstration models, technology transfer, applying advanced equipment and technologies to industrial production with the estimated budget of nearly VND2.2 billion and piloting cleaner production application model for 1 enterprise with the estimated budget of VND80 million.

The Cleaner Production Strategy in Industry up to 2020 was promulgated by the Prime Minister on September 7, 2009 in Decision No. 1419/QD-TTg. The objective of the strategy is that cleaner production is applied widely in industries in order to increase the utilizing efficiency of natural resources, material, fuels; reduce emission and minimize the pollution acceleration rate; protect and improve the environmental quality, human health and ensure the sustainable development.
