Previously, the 1st training session of course 1 was held in 3 days from July 5-7 in Ha Noi with the theoretical content on the skills of carrying out a quick assessment of cleaner production (CP) and division exchange and exchange experiences on consultancy for production enterprises from the aspect of cleaner production.

On October 25-26, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to hold a second training course for the first training course on Capacity improving for Cleaner Production in 2017 in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province. Representatives from 18 units in 16 provinces across the country.

During the two days of the training, each group of participants presented their own report, giving an overview of the current consumption of energy and fuel from a local manufacturing company. Since then, trainee has learned how to offer solutions that help businesses reduce energy consumption, raw materials, and reduce emissions from the beginning.

Many innovative and meaningful CP solutions have been put forward for discussion and improvement. In the framework of the training program, some typical reports received the Ministry of Industry and Trade awards including:

• The first prize belongs to Ba Ria - Vung Tau Industrial Promotion and Consultant Center with the quick assessment report of cleaner production of vermicelli Nguyen Van Hai, Ba Ria

• The second prize was awarded by the Industrial Promotion and Investment Committee of Lang Son province with the quick assessment report of Cao Loc Brick Factory - Lang Son Construction Joint Stock Company

• Third prize belongs to Hai Phong Energy Efficiency and Cleaner Production Center with the report of quick assessment of cleaner production of Viet Phap Joint Stock Company producing cattle food in Proconco Hai Phong.

At the end of the last session of the CP training workshop held in 2017 organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, trainees who are also directly implementing the CP strategy in the locality and have already grasped the implementation of a quick assessment of CP from contacting stage, enterprise approaching stage to completion of the report, persuading enterprises to implement cleaner production solutions, bring practical benefits to enterprises.

In the coming time, in order to disseminate the knowledge and benefits of cleaner production, to promote and create favorable conditions for CP enterprises to apply cleaner production methods, the Ministry of Industry and Trade Organized training courses for enhancing the practical skills of CP assessment for officials of the Department of Industry and Trade, Industry Promotion and Industrial Development Consultant, Energy Saving Centers and other units in nationwide.
