According to Dr Dao Hong Thai - Deputy Director of Industrial Promotion and  Development Consultancy Center of Hanoi, said: "We have now sent the guideline document as well as the registration dossier for accreditation under Official Letter No. 2023/HD-SCT dated 26 April, 2017 by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade on guiding the recognition of the use of "green energy" for key energy enterprises in industrial production as well as construction works in Hanoi. At present, 10 units have been completed and 5 units are completing their applications for recognition. "
 

Accordingly, key energy-using establishments must have their annual converted energy consumption at least 1,000 TOE for industrial production establishments; Annual converted energy consumption at least 500 TOE for building facilities. Construction works are in the design stage (base design is appraised, approved) or operation stage or renovation stage with a total floor area of 2.500 m2 or more. The establishments that meet the conditions are registered to participate in the recognition of both titles: Green energy facilities, green energy construction.
 

Green energy facilities will be received a certificate with corresponding title to the levels achieved; will be allowed to use the title achieved to promote their image and to publish on the website of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade. The award-winning facility will be considered for technical assistance to improve their energy efficiency in order to raise the title and consulted to attend in competitions related to energy efficiency at national leavel or ASEAN level. 
 

If necessary, the participants can contact the Energy Efficiency Department of the Industrial Promotion and Development Consultancy Center in Hanoi for advice. Compile a dossier for registration of the recognition of the title of the establishment, green energy facility and construction based on the city's green energy criteria, implement energy audits, evaluates the efficiency of energy saving solutions that have been applied, deploy management and technical solutions to improve energy consumption efficiency.
 

Regarding the title of recognition of green energy-using establishments: A five-star green energy-using establishment is the establishment with the evaluation score of 90-100; 4-star green energy-using establishment with the evaluation score of 80-89; 3-star green energy facility with evaluation score of 60-79. As for the title of recognition of construction works using green energy: A five-star green energy-using construction works with achieved evaluation score of 90-100; 4-star green energy-using construction works with achieved evaluation score of 80-89; 3-star green energy-using construction works with achieved evaluation score of 60-79.
 

Department of Industry and Trade, City People's Committee of Hanoi expect this activity to contribute to promoting the key energy facilities in the capital to promote solutions to improve energy efficiency towards a sustainable development facility model.
