Speaking at the forum, the PM said: In 1975, the two countries formally established diplomatic relations. By 2011, Germany and Vietnam have become all-sided strategic partnerships and the relationship is getting more and more in-depth. Vietnam hopes that Germany, as the largest economy and influential member of the EU as well as global multilateral forums and organizations, will be a trusted friend of Viet Nam to help attract international attention and resources to Vietnam's sustainable development goals. German technology and management experience can help Vietnam move ahead in the trend of the 4.0 revolution. Vietnam hopes Germany will help improve the localization rate of Vietnamese’s industries through encouraging German enterprises to invest in supporting industries in Vietnam, encouraging joint ventures with local businesses, even in renewable energy industry, solar energy, wind energy.
At the forum the parties signed the memorandum with a total value of up to 4 billion euros. Especially the memorandum of understanding between the leading energy corporation of Germany – Enercon Company and Trung Nam Group of Vietnam.
This signing was recognized by Zypries, Minister of Economy of Germany as a great success, a platform for cooperation among parties in the next 5 years, contributing to the production of 500 MW "green electricity" for Vietnam.
On this occasion, a booklet updating the list of German and Vietnamese’s enterprises in energy field has been prepared by the German Development Cooperation, GIZ, to promote exchanges and cooperation between German enterprises and Vietnamese enterprises.
