29 September, in Hanoi, Small and medium enterprises development support center 2 under Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality – Ministry of Sience and Technology cooperating with QUACERT and Trust Green Productivity Fund held the Conference “Social model of sustainable recycling lessons and experience”. 

Participating the conference, Mr Tran Van Minh Director General of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, Mr. Pham Le Cuong – Director of SMEDEC 2; Mr. Bui Ba Chinh – Director of INCENTECH, Mr. Tran Quoc Dung – Vice director of QUACERT; on Taiwan side, Assiciated Chen Jyh-herng - National University of Technology, Taipei, Mrs. Liu Lan Ping – CEO of TFPF and representatives of more than 55 interprises coming form waste treatment and waste recycling in Hanoi. 

Opening the Conference, Mr. Tran Van Vinh said: “Along with improvement of productivity programme for sustainable development to 2020, the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality implement the sustainable green productivity programme. With the pioneeing role, as an active member of Asian Quality and Productivity Organization, the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality will ensure recycling and cleaner production in the future” 

Vietnam has to be a member of APO since 1996, many enterprises, and officers were sent abroad to learn annually and many international consultant were invited for counseling in improvement of productivity and quality. 

Mr. Vinh adds, this is the first time the conference is held in the North, Vietnam always believe that the experts form Taiwan will share their experience and cooperate with SMEDEC 2, QUACERT and enterprise with information and experiences for deploying this field in the country. 

On Taiwan side, Mrs. Liu Lan Ping CEO of TGPF epressed very delighted to cooperate with Vietnam in the field of green productivity. She said, so far, the TGPF has some technical programme of APO and APO COE GP, especially recycling of resources. 

Taiwan side hope that the technical experts will support member countries on green productivity, green factory and ecological agriculture for green productivity and sustainable development. Mrs. Lui adds, on Taiwan side with 20 year experience on recycling and green productivity, Taiwan will give more support for Vietnam in green productivity. 

The cooperation between Vietnam and Taiwan is expected to contribute to the development of Vietnam productivity campaign and some other countries in the Pacific Asia. 

Besides, especially encouraging and promoting relations of cooperation in the field of productivity development between APO countries, related to APO, industrial technologies, technology strategy, R&D management, information and training. 

In the seminar, the green productivity experts also shared their experiences and strategies for developing of upcoming Green Productivity Model.
