The Energy Conservation Center of Ho Chi Minh City (ECC HCMC) and KPMG, which represents the Japanese Ministry of Environment in Vietnam, are developing an Eco Action Program (EAP) project for small and medium enterprises.

Via the project, Japan wants to help businesses in Vietnam build an environmental management system to save energy and reduce waste.

The project was launched in Da Nang bringing about significant benefits to local residents. With Ho Chi Minh City, the project is expected to provide support for 5-10 SMEs. “Through the cooperation with KPMG, one of the world’s leading audit and consulting groups, the project would offer cooperative opportunities and generate practical benefits for businesses. Those who are interested in the project should contact ECC HCMC,” said Huynh Kim Tuoc.

The Eco Action Program project was developed by the Japanese Ministry of Environment, following the Japan-based EcoAction 21 Program, which is to reduce greenhouse gas emission and boost sustainable development in Southeast Asian countries./.
