Installation of grid connected solar panels at MOIT headquarters
Thứ hai, 18/10/2010

Installation is expected to be completed in three days and the next work is related to connecting, testing and commissioning.

In Vietnam, this is the first grid connected solar power project to be deployed at the headquarters of a state agency.

The solar system at the MOIT’s building has the capacity of 12 Kwp or about 18,000 kWh per year. It has been estimated that the use of this system would save VND12 million on electricity per year.

The project is an activity to promote energy efficiency and conservation in buildings, especially in government offices, through the use of renewable energy sources.

Through this project, Altus - the leading company in renewable energy technology from Germany - wishes to introduce the latest large scale grid connected solar technology in Vietnam, hence continue to promote the benefits of using renewable energy in a country with great potential like Vietnam.

This is an opportunity for the technicians from the New Energy Research Center of Hanoi University of Technology to exchange and learn more about techniques to install large area grid connected solar panels directly from the leading experts on renewable energy of Germany.

Currently, all necessary equipment has been moved to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Previously, on October 13th and 14th 2010, at the Hanoi University of Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the New Energy Research Center, organized a technical training course for installing grid connected solar panels. The training program aimed to equip basic knowledge and skills for technicians who would directly install the grid connected solar system at the building of MOIT.

The grid connected solar system is expected to be put into official use and supply power for the operation of the MOIT’s building by the end of November 2010.
