Prime Minister orients sustainable development strategy for Thua Thien Hue province

Recently, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee with the Standing Board of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee on the implementation of Resolution No. 83/NQ-CP dated May 27, 2020 of the Government.
Recently, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee with the Standing Board of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee on the implementation of Resolution No. 83/NQ-CP dated May 27, 2020 of the Government. The Government promulgates the Action Program to implement Resolution No. 54-NQ/TW dated December 10, 2019 of the Politburo on construction and development of Thua Thien Hue province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Prime Ministers and leaders of ministries and branches all highly appreciated the province for both effective epidemic prevention and socio-economic development, continuing to maintain growth, and having many outstanding achievement in industry, import-export, budget revenue... The province has drastically implemented the conclusions and resolutions of the Politburo and the Government; relevant basic recommendations.
The delegates analyzed more clearly the potentials and strengths of the province, especially in tourism and heritage, understood the difficulties, challenges and development aspirations of Thua Thien Hue, highly appreciated the the province's efforts and results in administrative reform, information technology application, etc. The comments affirm their support and suggest solutions to accompany the province in implementing Resolution 54 of the Politburo, promoting the potentials, capabilities, strengths, overcoming difficulties, challenges and inadequacies in the development process... The policies are being submitted to the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee are expected to create new resources, motivation and initiative for the National Assembly, province in the future development process.

Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh focused on analyzing, clarifying and emphasizing three major contents: About the tasks implemented in the past time; characteristics, potentials and strengths of the province; key tasks and solutions in the coming time.
Regarding the work in the past time, on the basis of assigned functions, tasks and powers, agencies have actively implemented tasks and solutions to implement Resolution 54 of the Politburo and Resolution 83 of the Government. The Prime Minister suggested the agencies continue to focus, stand side by side with Thua Thien Hue to implement more actively and effectively these tasks and solutions.

Since the beginning of 2021, the province has achieved positive results compared to many other localities. Thanks to effective epidemic prevention, the province has promoted socio-economic development relatively well, as shown by indicators such as growth, budget revenue, and security and order. The Prime Minister highly commended the province for its good fight against the epidemic and has actively provided aid to southern provinces and cities. This is a very noble gesture, showing the sense of responsibility and national unity in difficult times.
The Prime Minister also praised the political system of the province and the people of Thua Thien Hue for always being united in both perception and action. The province's political system has shown a spirit of dedication to serving the people, many indicators of administrative reform show this, and the application of information technology is relatively effective.
The Prime Minister analyzed and pointed out three major, important and outstanding characteristics of Thua Thien Hue that need to continue to be strongly promoted to turn into a development resource.
First, there are cultural heritages and relics, both tangible and intangible, which is a very rare and very important feature of the province.
Second, the province is located in the central key economic region.
Third, all types of traffic in the country pass through Thua Thien Hue.
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, the Prime Minister suggested that Thua Thien Hue always closely follow and effectively implement Resolution 54 of the Politburo, contributing to solving bottlenecks, difficulties, obstacles, and goals by 2025 that it will become a city directly under the Central Government.
The Prime Minister emphasized 6 more points for the province to refer to, research, apply appropriately and effectively, create new development motivation and confidently move forward.
First of all, the Prime Minister asked the province to immediately implement planning tasks according to the Planning Law and the Government's instructions. This is both a goal, a requirement, and a very important political task. Good planning will help the province find distinct potentials, outstanding opportunities, and competitive advantages compared to other provinces, thereby developing without overlap and in good coordination with other localities.
Second, to promote the spirit of self-reliance, the idea of "turning nothing into yes, turning difficulty into easy, turning the impossible into possible", taking internal strength as basic, long-term, strategic, decisive, external force is important, breakthrough while external resources are capital, management, and management learn from outside. Internal forces are people, nature and historical and cultural traditions.
Third, focus on institutional building, human resource training, infrastructure development.
Fourth, promote public-private cooperation to mobilize development resources on the principle of harmonizing benefits and sharing risks among stakeholders.
Fifth, emphasize the importance to the work of building to a clean and strong Party, improving the capacity and combat power of Party

The Prime Minister noted that the more difficult, complex and sensitive the situation is, the more solidarity and principles must be maintained, promoting democracy, and mobilizing collective wisdom.

The Prime Minister assigned ministries, branches and the Government Office to continue to urge and coordinate with relevant agencies to implement tasks and solutions to effectively implement Resolution 54 of the Politburo. The Prime Minister suggested that if there are problems, the leaders of Thua Thien Hue province should report to the Deputy Prime Ministers according to their assigned fields or directly report to the Prime Minister if necessary.
