It is one of the 10 largest breeding food producers in the country. It has 6 feed mills with a total capacity of 85 tons per hour, synchronous and automatic technologies imported from the US, France and EU,...
Dabaco TOPFEEDS Feed Mill uses mainly electricity which is supplied by 2 electrical substations: 1x1.600 kVA-22/0,4 kV supplies power for production area and 1x1.000-22/0,4kV for raw material warehouse and coal. 
The enterprise's electricity consumption in 2017 is as follows: 
Energy efficiency potential 
Energy audit results show huge potential of energy efficiency of Dabaco TOPFEEDS Feed Mill. Proposed energy saving solutions can help the company save 326,236 kWh/year and 689.2 tons coal/year, equivalent to annual energy cost savings of VND2.2 billion.
Particular energy efficiency solutions 
13 energy solutions are found during energy audit period including VSD, power factor improvement, air Compressor system improvement, heat recovery in boiler.
Solution No.1: Installing hot air pipes to the outside area of the air compressor
Real situation 
The temperature at the air compressor area is very high (25oC) as it does not have hot air ejection system which reducesthe compressor operation performance and increases energy and maintenance costs.

Expected output 
After hot air pipesare installed to the outside area of the air compressor, the inlet air temperature shall be equal to air compressor in other area (18oC)which increases the compressor operation performance and reduces its energy consumption.

Solution No. 2: Improving excess air rate of 4 ton boiler
Real situation 
The proportion of O2 in discharge smoke(14,8%)is much higher than the standard one (3.5-4.8%) for solid fuel boilers causing energy waste. 
Expected output 
After the installation of inverters for air supply fan and air ejection fan, The proportion of O2 in discharge smoke reduces from 14.8% to 4.5%, leading to heat savings of162,556kcal/hour.

Solution No. 3:Recovering heat from discharge smoke of boiler
Real situation 
Theat recovery equipment which has been recently installed does not work well as the temperature of exhaust fumes is still very high (220oC). 
Expected output 
After the economizer is installed at the position of the existing air preheater, exhaust smokes' temperature reduces from 220oC to 150oC resulting to heat savings of 40,979.68 kcal/hour.

The Hanoi Industrial Promotion and Development Consultancy Center conducted a energy audit in collaboration with Korean energy audit expert at the Dabaco TOPFEEDS Feed Mill located at Khac Niem Industrial Zone, Ba Ninh City, Bac Ninh Province from November 19, 2018 to November 30, 2018.
