From June 11 to June 16, 2019, Department of Energy efficiency and Sustainable Development (MOIT) organized a training course for energy managers of enterprises located in Hanoi and the Southern Vietnam in cooperation with Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade. 

It was an annual training course of the MOIT aiming at helping major energy users know how to abide by the Law on economical and efficient use of energy. 500 trainees of the course were leaders, energy managers of energy-intensive enterprises in Hanoi and the Southern Vietnam getting involved in different industries. 

At the opening ceremony of the training course, Mr. Dao Hong Thai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Industrial Promotion and Development Consultancy Center, Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, emphasized the importance of energy efficiency to the sustainable development and national energy security and affirmed that the training course was very practical for production and energy management activities of enterprises. 

Participating in the training course, not only did trainees better understand legal provisions on economical and efficient use of energy but they were also aware of energy efficiency solutions to large energy-consuming equipment such as lighting system, air compressor system, boiler system, air conditioning system, industrial refrigeration system. 

After completing the course, trainees would be able to develop an energy efficiency strategy/plan for their enterprise as well as know how to calculate energy consumption per unit of product. And they were granted the Energy Manager Certificate when they were qualified.
