Thai Nguyen develops green and sustainable industry

In the process of attracting domestic and foreign investors and businesses, Thai Nguyen province always determines the importance of associating industrial development with environmental protection.
Thai Nguyen province has huge potential for development, competitive advantages and draws so much attraction from investors. The province is located in a strategic location, is the center of the Northern midlands and mountainous region, creating favorable conditions for long-term cooperation with localities in the region.
In addition to abundant natural resources, Thai Nguyen province also attracts investors by modern and synchronous electricity, transport, urban and industrial infrastructure. The province is as a whole able to meet the needs of investors including the world's leading corporations. The Thai Nguyen provincial authorities are trying their best to creat the most favorable conditions for investors to carry out projects, production and business activities stably.
According to a report by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Thai Nguyen province has received positive feedback from businesses regarding its efforts to improve the business environment. Up to now, in Thai Nguyen province, there have been 130 valid foreign direct investment projects whose total registered capital is of $7,288.1 million and nearly 6,320 enterprises whose total registered capital is over VND79,575 billion.
In the process of attracting domestic and foreign investors and businesses, Thai Nguyen province always determines the importance of associating industrial development with environmental protection. Therefore, environmental protection which is one of basic contents of the sustainable development, should be specified in socio-economic development strategies and plans.
Namely, the Management Board of Thai Nguyen provincial industrial parks usually supervises and speeds up their environmental protection. The province aims at addressing basically the environmental degradation in industrial parks, industrial complexes, urban areas, tourist areas, mining areas, industrial manufacturing establishments and family farms by 2020.
At the same time, Thai Nguyen province pays much attention to appropriate exploitation and use of natural resources, biodiversity conservation, maintenance and development of national parks. Especially, environmental protection is the top priority of urban development, industrial park and industrial complex development plans and is focused in agricultural and rural development plans.
Thai Nguyen has implemented environmental management zoning in order to manage the socio-economic development and controlled the pollution level of industrial manufacturing establishments, hospitals, residential areas, industrial parks and industrial complexes by applying widely and effectively environmental pollution and degradation treatment and prevention.
Besides, Thai Nguyen province has attached great importance to financial support and tax incentive mechanism and policy for industrial manufacturing establishments applying clean and low-emission technologies, collecting, sorting, recycling and re-using waste and stimulation of the participation of economic sectors in environmental protection management.
With synchronous and effective solutions, efforts of the party committees, provincial government, the consensus of people, investors and the business community, Thai Nguyen province will continue to make important breakthroughs in socio-economic development and be a reliable destination for domestic and foreign investors and businesses.
