Cleaner production benefits enterprises

The Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment organized cleaner production workshop on protecting the environment and benefiting enterprises on January 30 in Hanoi with the participation of leaders and scientists from the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and nearly 30 small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment organized cleaner production workshop on protecting the environment and benefiting enterprises on January 30 in Hanoi with the participation of leaders and scientists from the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and nearly 30 small and medium-sized enterprises.

Committee on Science, Technology and Environment Deputy Chairman Vo Tuan Nhan said that in addition to green growth strategy, the party and state have issued a series of policies to ensure sustainable production of enterprises such as the cleaner production strategy in industry by 2020, Law on Energy Efficiency and the strategy on protecting the national environment by 2020 with a vision to 2030. Many enterprises have actively implemented cleaner production measures, contributing to benefiting the economy and protecting the environment.

A report from the Supporting Office for the Cleaner Production Strategy in Industry under the Ministry of Industry and Trade about positive results in the implementation process of the cleaner production strategy in industry and tools to help enterprises deploy cleaner production solutions was also announced.

Enterprises have agreed on benefits from cleaner production solutions. However, they have also faced difficulties such as mechanisms and policies, preferential capital and technology.
