Ca Mau province promotes propaganda on cleaner production in the industry

Cau Mau Provincial Industrial and Trade Promotion Center has cooperated with a number of related agencies in carrying out propaganda campaign on cleaner production in the province.
Cleaner production is the continuous application of integrated environmental protection strategies to production processes of products and services in order to improve ecological efficiency and reduce human and environmental risks. Specifically, regarding the production process, cleaner production involves conservation of raw materials and energy, elimination of hazardous materials, reduction of the amount and toxicity of all waste on the spot.
According to results of researches and practice-based evidence, cleaner production is important to all types of businesses which are involved in different industries as it brings about economic, environmental and social benefits.

With regard to the industrial sector, cleaner production also plays an important role. Therefore, Cau Mau provincial Industrial promotion and development consultancy center has cooperated with a number of related agencies in carrying out propaganda campaign on cleaner production in the province. Specifically, the Center has hung cleaner production posters in communes and towns of Nam Can, Tran Van Thoi, Dam Doi, Cai Nuoc districts and Ca Mau city.
With the slogan "Apply Cleaner Production Solutions for Sustainable Development", the posters aim at disseminating the basics of cleaner production so that industrial production facilities could apply cleaner production techniques in order to reduce waste, minimize environmental pollution, save raw materials, fuel and energy leading to increasing profits and economic benefits and environmental protection.
Posters convey the message "Small action, big impact" so that industrial manufacturing establishments and residents get into the habit of using raw materials, fuel and energy properly.
In 2017, Ca Mau province distributed 150 posters on cleaner production. The figure in 2018 was 15. Thanks to the propaganda campaign, many businesses and communities have been aware of benefits of cleaner production related to environmental pressure reduction and resource use efficiency improvement and better production process management.
